Work Kits
Canva's professional templates were stuck in a visual rut — corporate, predictable, and stylistically interchangeable. Worse, even when templates shared a cohesive look, they never surfaced together, leaving users without a way to build a complete, consistent suite of work documents.
I led the creative direction of the graphic elements across every kit — forecasting trends for modern professional audiences, building the briefs that set the creative standard, and pushing the team away from the safe, corporate visual language we'd always defaulted to. Through style exploration and subject research, I developed a design direction that brought human touches to professional design: warmth, personality, and quiet playfulness, without ever losing utility or credibility.
Work Kits gave Canva users something they'd never had before — a cohesive creative system built around how people actually work, and proof that professional doesn't have to mean boring.
